Rosemary Clooney was an American singer and actress known for her warm, rich voice and her smooth, effortless vocal style. Born in Kentucky in 1928, she began her singing career in the 1940s as part of a duo with her sister Betty. They performed in local clubs and on the radio, and eventually caught the attention of bandleader Tony Pastor, who invited them to join his band.
Clooney's solo career took off in the 1950s, with hits like "Come On-a My House," "Botch-a-Me," and "Mambo Italiano." She also appeared in several films, including "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby.
After a break in the ’60’s from drug addiction issues, Rosemary continued to perform and record well into the 1990s. Clooney passed away in 2002 at the age of 74.
